Club Maqam explores musical encounters and crossroads in the Eastern Mediterranean and Balkan region. Gathering musicians, dancers and aficionados inspired by century long Balkan, Ottoman and Arabic roots & hybrids we create spaces for people to meet, learn, party and collaborate.Since 2021 we have arranged Club Maqam events in Stockholm Antikvariat Verklighetsflykt, Kulturhuset Cyklopen, Time Bar) and Göteborg (Folk, Bivac, Cyrano, Kulturhuset Oceanen, Bubblan).
